In the rhythm of island life, forget “winter is coming!” ; it’s finally here. Even without today being winter solstice, the majestic waves crashing onto our shores were a big giveaway š¤£
Sharing a few wintry moments, marking the new season ahead. On a scale of 1-10, how ready are you for winter? š I’ll admit, I usually head into it kicking and screaming. But between the power of the darkened skies and the sunlight breaking through like a blossoming brideā¦ I’m kinda looking forward to winter!

I know, I know. Who am I again? To be fair, Malta gets well over 300 days of sunshine a year. (Even if this week wasn’t one of them)! As I mentioned wnter’s already seeped in, casting its spell over everything. Including me.

Island life amplifies the seasonal contrastsāthe surges of tourists and the powerful waves. As winter unfolds, the rhythm winds down, tourists taper off, and the waves become a metaphorical danceāsometimes a fierce tango, other times a gentle waltz.

It’s a transformation from a bustling summer tourist destination to serene island life. And one I’m all here for.

On another note: Happy Winter solstice (if you’re in the Northern hemisphere).

Are you a kicking and screaming into winter type, or are you looking forward to it?
It’s noticeably cooler in Jamaica but still warm enough to wear shorts (like 20 degrees C). So yes, very excited š
Lucky lady! Enjoooy and merry Christmas š
