Is it too late to wish you a happy new month? ā¤ļø
Here are a few snippets from a sun-drenched day people-watching in the Mediterranean Sea, which might just be the best spot to capture the essence of the Mediterranean way of life. You know, like being outdoorsy, spending time with family, and that unmistakable shade of blue. I get why Italians call it ‘la dolce vita’, or the sweet life.
As you can see, summer is well and truly underway here. Every day is: sun, sea, boats, repeatāand itāll stay this way for at least a couple more months. While I enjoy having seasons, I must say: I do have favourites, and I can’t get enough of days like these! Yes, the weather plays a major part. But aside from the endless sunshine, there are the longer days, the infectious spark in the air, and the overall vibe. Plus, the lively local festivals and evenings spent by the sea donāt hurt.
A Mediterranean summer just speaks my love language.
Now, donāt get me wrong, itās not an all-singing, all-dancing musical. You’ll still catch people moaning about high temperatures (it’s currently 36Ā°C) or something they read in the newspaper. But overall, they seem happier. And besides, where would small talk be without a chat (or a moan) about the weather.
