Why I’m Super Grateful for Personal Bloggers✨️

Before I sign off for the weekend, I just wanted to thank you for every like, comment, interaction—or simply for sharing your stories.

I feel like I’ve finally entered the personal blogging era.

To be honest, I thought true personal blogs had become extinct, and I have been struggling to find real and wholesome content.

For a while now, I’ve been on the lookout for authentic storytellers and real life livers. This is one of the main reasons I quit social media. Perhaps it’s me, but it started to feel like a digitised version of the Stepford Wives. What with everything looking and sounding perfectly the same.

This superficiality isn’t just isolating; I believe it’s having a negative effect on society as a whole. There doesn’t seem to be much room for imperfection, community, or the magic of the everyday—all of which I guess require vulnerability and honesty.

Not gonna lie, even I thought the curated, “perfect” approach might be the way to go once or twice—blogging-wise, I mean.

But discovering realism and imperfection in the blogs I’ve been reading lately has been a breath of fresh air.

Not that I’m saying your posts are imperfect! 🤦🏾‍♀️

No, but seriously, it’s been a pleasure to read about real life—everything from local adventures and weight loss journeys to memories of grandparents, grief, musings and everything in between.

This authentic content is a reminder of what I love most about blogging.

So, for that, I thank you.

And on that note, Happy Friday!

Here’s to a lovely weekend.
