Even more specifically the 19th floor of InterContinental Hotel. Which is where you will find the sophisticated Skybeach Lounge and Bar!
You will want to get dolled up for an evening here. Skybeach is a sleek and stylish venue boasting plush greens seating areas and a stunning infinity swimming pool.
During the day, SkyBeach Lounge Bar serves freshly prepared Mediterranean seafood dishes. But from 19:00, you are in for a night of glitz and glamour. And there are plenty of cocktails to choose from.
You will probably (no definitely) want to leave the kids at home on this occasion.
The bar have all but certified their agreement too.
Meaning, unless you are a guest at the hotel, the rooftop bar is a kid-free zone!

Taza Sky Bar
Away from the buzz of central hub areas such as St Julians and Sliema, is where you will find Taza Sky Bar – an exclusive rooftop bar.
This time in Malta’s Northern Quarter. From 7:30pm to 11:30pm, Taza Sky bar is open to all.
Chill doesn’t mean boring though. There’s a fantastic cocktail selection on offer here from the old classics as well as wines, beers and even coffees should you need a pick me up!
So sashay on up to the 10th floor of the DB San Antonio Hotel in Qawra where you will find one of the best rooftop bars in Malta.
The ocean views are amazing. From up here, you have unobstructed views of the gorgeous St Paul’s Islands and… St. Paul’s Bay itself.
Taza Sky Bar is another rooftop bar boasting an infinity pool. And if you’re a (lucky) guest here’s what you need to know:
- The pool is only open during the day.
- Taza Bar is for adults-only
- Should you already have an appointed designated driver, Taza Sky Beach offers 3hrs free parking. Get there quick mind, as spots are available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
- Taza Sky Bar also serves delicious Mediterranean dishes to gorge on with prices ranging from €10-€30.
The cocktail bar benefits from a spacious lounge area for you to enjoy a fantastic evening. Oh and the stylish decor creates an elegant yet relaxed feel.

The Lounge 360 is the rooftop bar in the restaurant, TemptAsian (find it atop the 9th floor of the AX The Palace in Sliema). Note: It’s a seasonal rooftop bar opens from 6pm during the summer months.
So, Lounge 360 hovers over Sliema and if you haven’t already guessed by the name – offers breathtaking 360° views of Malta.
The modern yet plush atmosphere makes for a relaxed vibe.
Undoubtedly one of the best rooftop bars in Malta. Sadly, if you want to access the infinity pool on the rooftop you will have to be a guest at AX The Palace.
But theres’s absolutely nothing stopping you from looking at it!

The Rooftop at Hugo’s Terrace
Hugo’s Terrace is another swanky venue boasting stylish decor and gorgeous views of St. Julian’s and St. George’s Bay.
Okay so it is only on the 2nd floor, but Hugo’s Terrace is high enough to escape the cacophony of St Julians. For a while at least.
The bar is open from noon each day until late and is also home to resident DJ’s.

Located in the picturesque village of Mellieha. The views alone will make you fall in love with the place.

And finally one of the best rooftop bars in Malta (and the inspiration behind this post) is the elegant Rooftop Bar @ The Embassy Hotel.
Perched seven floors above majestic capital city, Valletta. The Rooftop Bar offers visitors iconic views of Valletta’s skyline and the surrounding area.
Another rooftop bar in Malta with a pool. But seriously, imagine swimming to the backdrop of Marsamxett Harbour?
You’ll find Rooftop Bar located in the centre of Valletta on Mata’s infamous Strait Street.
Did you know Strait Street or Strada Stretta (as it’s known in Maltese), was the happening place back in the day? Soldiers visited for a night of debauchery whilst sounds of jazz music permeated the air!
If you’re partial to a bit of day drinking, then you’re in luck.
Rooftop Bar is open all day from breakfast through to supper. And the food menu is just as noteworthy as the drinks one.
Along with classic cocktails, Rooftop Bar also serves local and international wines. I know I said you can visit all day. And you can.
