About The Author

Dionne Sims is a queer, black, intersectional feminist and creative writer. She will graduate from the University of Minnesota in 2018 with her Bachelor’s in Communication with an emphasis on Media/Pop-Culture Critique. Her poem, “Stranger,” was featured on NPR in celebration of National Poetry Month 2017, though she is best known for her efforts to educate and entertain through social media. Out of all the things to do in a day, she most enjoys taking long walks with her dog, and watching more Netflix than the average human.
