Sharing a photo of Comino and its insanely crystal-clear waters! At 3 km² , it’s the smallest of the inhabited Maltese Islands. Though in this case, ‘inhabited’ is a loose term – there are currently only two residents living on the island. Back in the day (and I’m talking hundreds of years ago, by the way), wayward knights were sent here as a punishment. But if you could see Comino bustling with a constant hum of tourists during the packed-out summer months, you’d probably say, ‘sounds like a blessing in disguise.’ You see, the island was prone to pirate attacks. So, it was you + however many of them were sent in search of booty 🏴☠️ Now the secret is out about this gem so at it’s peak, you won’t find pirates. Instead, you’ll find scrambling tourists, eager for a slice of paradise. Which is kinda why I prefer it now. Hiking or Kayaking, ‘tis the season’! 💫
