“What Cities Do You Want to Visit?” Hmm, “none,” or so I thought as I initially saw the writing prompt.โ๏ธ
I mean, I’m not really a city-visiting-type of person. Or am I? ๐ค

Mind you, so far, I’ve visited:
- Amman, Jordan ๐ฏ๐ด
- Aswan, Cairo +Luxor, Egypt ๐ช๐ฌ
- Dubrovnik, Hvar + Pula, Croatia ๐ญ๐ท
- Paris, Nantes France ๐ซ๐ท
- Catania, Florence, Naples, Rome, Bologna, Pisa, Venice, Burano, Bari + Vatican City (all Italy) ๐ฎ๐น
- Madrid, Spain ๐ช๐ธ
- Lisbon, Portugal ๐ต๐น

Does London ๐ฌ๐ง and Valletta ๐ฒ๐น count? Oh, and Cambridge and St Albans too?
Okay, maybe on the surface, I’m not a city-visiting-type of person. What I don’t like about cities are touristy trappy type of places. You know the one I mean. I like places with culture, character, and a bit of soulโcities that are unique and stand out.

So (finally) here’s my list of Cities I’d like to visit:
- Rio De Janeiro, Brazil ๐ง๐ท
- Highlights: Seaside city, so plenty of picturesque beaches as well as mountains to explore. The diversity and the influences on the city from traditional music to its foods and eclectic culture. And I’d love to visit just to see the sprawling favelas.
- Chefchaouen, Morocco๐ฒ๐ฆ
- Highlights: Food, spices, traditional architecture, murals, mountaintops, steep cobbled lanes, markets, and the colour blue.
- Old San Juan, Puerto Rico ๐ต๐ท
- Highlights: Old city, vibrant colourful houses galore, gorgeous street art, traditional foods that specialise in Caribbean cuisine (and of course Puerto Rican) walkable cobblestone city.

- Guanajuato, Mexico ๐ฒ๐ฝ
- Highlights: Baroque architecture, Old churches, historical town, traditional festivals like the flower exchanging Festival of Flower. This city looks super pretty (and colourful) up high in the mountains! (It’s 3000 metres above sea level).
- Busan, South Korea ๐ฐ๐ท
- Highlights: Port city so think beaches, mountains, hiking trails. Then there’s traditional markets, cherry blossom ๐ธ Temples and villages draped in swathes of colours.
- Jodhpur, India ๐ฎ๐ณ
- Highlights: Rich history (the city dates back to 1452) Thar desert giving it awesome landscape, festivals, galleries, markets and the beautiful colour blue ๐.
- Cartagena, Colombia ๐จ๐ด
- Highlights: Technicolour city set on the Caribbean coast. So pristine beaches, palm trees but stunning architecture and a rich culture, too. Oh and cobblestone streets (sensing a theme here). ๐
- Havana, Cuba ๐จ๐บ
- Highlights: Joyful looking city, sporting colour, culture, history, wonderful architecture, traditional music, markets and what about those classic cars? ๐
You know what? Maybe I am a city-visiting-type of person after all. A few themes have been spotted. Colour, tradition, and nature. Oh and cobblestone streets ๐คญ

Anyways, enough about me. The world is your oyster. What cities would you love to visit? ๐
Thanks for sharing this idea Anita
Youโre more than welcome ๐
